This set includes coloured plastic rings to customize all three War of the Ring 2nd Edition expansions: Lords of Middle-earth, Warriors of Middle-earth and Kings of Middle-earth. The set includes at least 8 small soft rubber rings and 57 large hard plastic rings – similar to the plastic rings included in Kings of Middle-earth – to fit all the units and characters included in these three expansions. The rings fit around the figure bases; glue can be required for assembly.

Years before the War of the Ring, the Dark Lord Sauron tried to bend the will of the kings and rulers of the Free Peoples with subtle machinations. His goal was to turn them into powerless puppets, or at least to weaken them in preparation of his plans for conquest. When the war came, they fought the Dark Lord valiantly, but for some of them the weakness that Sauron nurtured proved almost fatal. The role of the rulers of the Free Peoples, and their weaknesses, is the focus of Kings of Middle-earth, the third expansion for War of the Ring. The part they played in the story is greatly expanded, with new figures and rules that bring to life Theodén, Denethor, Daìn, Brand, and Thranduil. Additional characters to expand the Shadow Armies, the Dark Chieftains, are also included.

The Fate of Erebor is a promotional item included with copies of "The Battle of Five Armies" Collector's Edition and given out with first print copies of the revised edition of "The Battle of Five Armies" board game. It is an alternate setup of "War of the Ring" with which you can play when the Shadow player wins "The Battle of Five Armies" board game. Contains alternate map tiles, character cards, and event cards for the "War of the Ring" base game.
