Almoravid is a board wargame about the Spanish Reconquista, depicting Leonese King Alfonso VI's campaigns against fractious Muslim Taifa states and the subsequent intervention by a powerful North African fundamentalist army. Players raise and equip armies through a feudal levy system, then campaign for 40-day periods with lords who serve only limited terms and demand payment or glory to stay in the field.
