1979: Iran in Revolution is a two-player card-driven wargame covering the events from the 1953 coup through the Islamic Revolution and the turbulent years between. One player pushes to nationalise oil and overthrow the Shah while the other fights to protect royal power and Western interests. Unlike most event-card games, each turn begins with a draft of event cards before alternating action rounds, keeping hidden information and tension high throughout.
